Virginia Sunset + Dinner Party

Good evening snickerdoodles! How are ya?

I am currently sitting on an ultra-comfy couch in the neighbor’s house, munching on almonds and watching Fox News coverage of the Republican primary. Since I feel very strongly about politics, I will save those opinions for another blog post.

As for my last two posts, it seems that many of you loved this movie as much as I did, and apparently have a thing for Mom Jeans. Who knew?

We got to enjoy the Virginia sunset tonight, watching it over the Chesapeake Bay.

How beautiful is that? The things I forget about when I live in New York. Padre found a souvenir for me to keep in my room ;)

I love my Dad so much. Unfortunately, it’s not coming home with me because Madre says it doesn’t smell good. You win some, you lose some.

Then, I made a giant batch of my Avocado Tapenade for the fam bam. We had visitors!

John and Lorraine:

They are just so presh.

Madre and Baby Sister:

My Mama and sister are so beautiful.

Time for dessert!

We had cheesecake, pretzels with Hershey’s chocolate kisses and York Bites a la Madre, and chocolate-covered peppermint sticks that the Padre got as a gift from a colleague. They are soooo good dipped in coffee. Just so you know.

Observe: my adorable Grandma.

She’s just a cupcake.

Drankkkk!

As you can see, I’m taking pictures of anything and everything. I just love my new baby. I’m so protective of it, and Baby Sister can attest to that.

Now excuse me while I go catch up with some of my favorite blogs. I went to my Google Reader and nearly peed myself. That thing is about to explode. I started like this:

And then I clicked “Mark All as Read: Older than 1 Day” and it was all better. Whew! Sigh of relief.

Have a good rest of your evening mah boos!

Talk to me:

What’s your favorite h’ordeurve?

Do you like dinner parties?

Pick one: Sunsets or seaweed on the beach?

xoxox,

Katelyn

I know right?! My smile looks so much like my Mom, but my “resting face” much more like my Dad. Strange, isn’t it?

The sunset looks gorgeous! I adore dinner parties, but have never actually thrown one myself. Out of laziness, mostly…

Your family is adorable! I love dinner parties but don’t have them enough. I guess when your with your whole family over break every night is a dinner party right? And I would choose sunsets over seaweed easily.

Completely is. Especially when you don’t have to cook! ;)

I love dinner parties! So classy. My favorite appetizer (yah I’m not fancy enough to spell that the way you did) is sushi. :) I think sunsets beat seaweed.

I. miss. sushi. The best is when they give you a giant plate full of goodies. So faaaaaancy.
