I….. LOVE basketball. Especially when coached by Jim Boeheim. He is such a stinkin’ cutie, and so intelligent. Not only is he a great person (although I’ve never met him, I have only heard wonderful things), he works wonderfully as a coach. He described this season’s team as one with “more depth” than ever before.
I would have to agree. With the depth of the players, the depth in fan support has dramatically increased. Each player has made a name and image for themselves, each having their own virtues, talents, and wonderfully unique abilities. I love watching them play, and I love cheering for them even more.
Just a typical Syracuse fan.
Today’s game — I have to admit, I got a bit worried. Marquette brought through a powerful defensive force, and were quite good at gaining possession. Our team was faltering at Marquette’s speed and agility, often getting caught up in the pace of it all and missing some beautiful three-pointers.
Each time, however, the boys were able to bring back their lead with a powerful return and spunk. Boeheim kept them steady when they were buckling under pressure, and gave them the perfect balance of fatherly coaching and no-bullshit attitude. We came away with a win, and myself, with a lost voice. The sign of an always-good game.
World’s most precious child fan.
Otto is so stinkin’ cute.
He even high-fives.
Padre had a wonderful time, and I was so happy to see him happy. He told me one of the things he wanted to do this year was go to an SU basketball game with me, and now that he’s accomplished that goal, he is looking forward to going to another one. Happy camper. I love spending time with my family, and now that it’s time to go back to school, I’ve actually gotten used to being home. As always, I will miss my parents when I go back home, but this time I’ll miss them even more.
I’m exhausted and have decided it’s time for chocolate-chipped cereal and bed. I’m exhausted, and I’m pretty sure Lilly would agree.
Have a great rest of your night, friends! I’m finishing a Meryl Streep marathon with the fam (Lilly included), and it is totally worth the extra exhaustion. #Priorities
