The first day of school. Hmm. The first day of spring semester. Whee. Six classes, 19 credits. Oh boy.
I’m having a moment where I don’t quite understand the world. Mainly because I had an odd dream last night that left me confused and heartbroken. There are some moments you don’t want to re-live. All dreams aside, I woke up with a wonderful outlook and ready for the day. Did you know that water is really good when you first wake up? It’s true. I’ve been drinking it ever since I started waking up. You should try it sometime.
I’m still waiting for the sun to come out and play so I can open the curtains! Until then it is kind of dreary and not pretty. I would like some sunshine and warmth, please and thank you. In my dream last night, a character mentioned how much he loved the cold and snow. I realized this may have been a metaphor for his heart.
This kind of weather makes me want to sit on my “couch” (haha), and sip coffee until the cows come home. Or sneak my car onto campus. Either way, I would prefer to be warm at all times. Once I woke up, I had some water, and rolled out my yoga mat. A few sun salutations later (I am such a yoga nerd but I love it), I felt good as new and brewed some coffee. For some reason, my coffee maker is pooping out on me and just doesn’t taste the same. I think I am going to recruit the parentals to bring me some dark-roasted coffee from Wegmans and a Brita filter. Do you have any idea what it is like to be in a giant room with no water pitcher? TORTURE. Absolute torture. I go to the lounge “kitchen” sink every 30 minutes to fill up my water bottle because I am a never-ending water-drinking fish. Do you remember back in the day when someone would be at a water fountain, drinking forever, and someone would say, “Save some for the fishes!” — I would tell them that I am a fish and it was all for me. Truth.
Time to really wake up, and then get ready for the day. It’s the first day of school! Get excited, people. Syllabus week = not doing much = sipping coffee while I listen and casually nodding my head.
Are you a “morning person”?
What is your morning routine?
xoxo,
Katelyn

I am totally a morning person. I woke up at 7 and my first class is at 11! Hmm.. I need to start doing yoga again. I haven’t gotten into a routine yet but hopefully by the end of this week I’ll have one. Good luck today!
I’m a morning person, I absolutely love my morning routine. I wake up at 6, go to the gym, shower, make breakfast, eat/ready blogs. It’s simple, but is the perfect way to start my day : )
I’m becoming a morning person.. 21 years of being a cranky bear in the mornings and now it’s my favorite time of day.
I wake up and check emails while eating my breakfast and chugging water and then have some coffee and get ready to work out. Yay me! :p
Good luck with all of those classes!!
I thought I was crazy with 17 credits and 6 classes. You go girl
