I miss Fratting.

Sorry bout it. #notsorry

Today, I secured a job (yay!), got a haircut, and also got my first driving ticket. I was talking with Padre on the phone (speakerphone, mind you) and got pulled over. Had my offense been a bit more badass, I wouldn’t mind paying the fine (which is hefty for a youngin like me).

You win some, you lose some.

I also have a special love for frat boys and Sigma Chi that cannot be explained. When I see familiar chapters on other campus, I get super giddy.

I went to the U of R campus to register for my summer drawing class and not only passed by frat row (swooning, missing college), but also walked by the gorgeous Rush-Rhees Library.

Isn’t it gorgeous?

When I was college searching, my decision came down to the University of Rochester versus Syracuse. We all know where that choice led, but when I was choosing, I was constantly pulled back to Rochester’s beautiful campus. Had the student body size not been so small and the campus not so close to home, my choice may have been different. Who knows. All I can say is I am madly in love with Syracuse and never want to leave.

Take me back now, please and shanks.

In the fall, I’ll be living in an on-campus apartment with one of my best friends at Syracuse, Deanna. She’s in another house, so it will be nice to have a variety of people coming in and out. Plus, I hardly ever get to see this girl in the first place. She’s working in Ocean City, Maryland this summer, makin’ bank and living the life. Don’t forget to write!

What do you miss most (or are looking forward to!) about college?

xoxo,
Katelyn

I just graduated from college and I’m already missing my sorority sisters and my Tau Kappa Epsilon boys. I met my amazing boyfriend because he is a TKE and I simply miss hanging out with all of his fraternity.

I’m looking forward to celebrating my senior year! It’s going to be stressful, but I can already tell it’s going to be so much fun!

I just got done with my internship and will be leaving my campus for good this summer. I’m going to miss the football games. I went to Michigan State so football and basketball were huge on our campus. I’m going to miss seeing the seasons change and being with my friends all the time. Enjoy college because it goes by so fast!

I’m so glad to hear you’ve already found a frat to bond with – for me, that was PIKE & i fell in love with the spring semester of my freshman year … and to this day those boys I met at that time are my best guy friends & i have some of the best and my favorite memories with those boys!!!!

How big is frat/sorority life at Syracuse? I remember when I looked they didn’t mention too much about it…

P.S LOVE the haircut girl! its sassy & perfect for the summer.

I would say it’s pretty big! Not huge, but because I’m immersed in it, I couldn’t see my social life any other way. Andddd thank you! I love it ;)
