{Bring ‘Em Out}: My Favorite iPhone Photo-Editing Apps.

by Katelyn Block on July 11, 2012 · 25 comments

Morning friends! Say hello to my leetle nugget.

No more paparazzi, I’m a princess.

She is so happy to be home. Guess what? The Daily Sprinkle is back! Check it out!

Recently, I’ve been getting a lot of questions on Instagram (where you should follow me if you already haven’t, let’s be best buds) about what apps I use to edit my photos. Let’s be honest, I don’t have the time, energy, or space to carry around my giant (but insanely beautiful) Canon DSLR, so I often take a lot of my pictures with my iPhone.

I’m going to list off the apps I use (in order of how I use them), and then give you a little blurb about each and why I love it. I’ll even use all Instagram pictures to prove to you how good they are (after all, pictures speak louder than words). Sound good?

p.s. They’re all free. You’re welcome.

1. Aviary

Edits photos. Enhance, balance, crop, B&W, sepia, and my favorite: adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness to your heart’s desire. There’s other stuff too, but I don’t really use those. If you ever see pictures on my Instagram and think they look professional, this is where the magic happens.

Clearly I went photo happy. Oopsieeeee.

2. Phonto

Food Pictures

Selfies

This puts pretty fonts and titles on my pictures. Around (or more than) a hundred fonts to choose from, different colors and weights to choose from, and backgrounds for the text. Limited colors, but I like the selection.

3. LabelBox

Available Labels:

Cute labels are just awesome. You can choose from eleven free labels (see below), and about thirteen paid ones. Personally, I’m satisfied with the free ones. They look great, and the variety is wide. I’m a fan. Found this via Kasey and Bobbi. Thanks, ladies!

4. PicStitch

It stitches my pictures together! Choose between almost 50 frames that allow you to stitch together two, three, four, or five pictures. Bonus: You can edit each individual picture within the frame. How bomb is that?

5. Instagram

Instagram speaks for itself. If you have an iPhone (or Android), it’s is a must. And this is the time where I say: Follow me! We’ll be best Instagrammin’ and hashtaggin’ buds. ;)

I have Phonto but not all those options. The only thing I can add under ‘Add Item’ are word bubbles. Where are the font options?

love the suggestions, thanks so much! general iphone questions i’ve been wondering for awhile: how did you create those little compartments/categories on your phone where you organized your apps (work it out, photo editing etc.) i have two on my phone right now that my phone came with (weather and utilities) but i’d love to create a few more since im a total organization-freak :)

So I had almost all of these, but two. And thank you because I’m pretty sure I was questioning this week, “how do people get cool text boxes on their pics?!?” Love it!!
