{#FitVEDA Day Two!}: Collagen Sport + CrossFit Progress

by Katelyn Block on August 2, 2012 · 16 comments

Let’s talk about how excited I am about life right now.

And let’s not talk about how I’m wearing a green face mask right now and blogging at the same time. Not only can I not eat or drink, I can’t talk to myself. Aren’t you glad I didn’t do today’s #FitVEDA vlog with that monster on my face? You are.

Highlights:

  • I tried another new protein powder (thanks Collagen Sport!)
  • Made progress in CrossFit and am pretty jazzed up about it
  • Tomorrow marks the beginning of Two-A-Day WODs (holy nuggets)
  • I use this weird back thing that helps my posture, and you should probably get one
  • NEW MOTIVATIONAL SLOGAN. It’s near the middle of the end somewhere. Use it. Love it.

I love you guys! That is all. Check out my recipe for Italian Turkey Meatball Stir-Fry (that’s a mouthful… literally), and watch the above video for your viewing pleasure entertainment.

Day one of #FitVEDA can be viewed here.

Who’s watching the Olympics tonight??!

You are SO inspiring! LOVE seeing another college student blogger… So fun. Also, what are your favorite protein powders? I need to buy a new one. My current one tastes like kindergarten paste.

Hey Katelyn! Sounds like your doing great in CrossFit. I know when I got my first kipping pull up it took me a year, but once you get it your on top of the world! I lost mine..but it’s one of my goals to get back to being able to kip again! Just curious..why are you going to start doing two a day workouts? Doesn’t that seem like a lot? I know thats what made my cortisol levels go up is when I started doing hard workouts twice a day..just curious to see what you think about them and why your starting to do them..and if it’s only a temporary thing because your going on vacation. Keep kicking butt!

You are awesome for using one of those lumbar spine supports! I am definitely struggling with some gross lower back problems so I have been using a pillow or rolled up towels to keep by back in an extension position. But I clicked your link out of curiosity and ordered one right away, this looks so much better!!!! Thanks for suggestion :)

any reason for the two-a-day WODs? just curious, sounds like a lot!

Hey Kat! True story, I slept in this morning and will only be doing one today. But the fact is, if I have the time and energy to do two workouts a day, I will be doing them. Homegirl wants to go to the Games!

That’s awesome! And inspiring, makes me think about upping my own Crossfit goals. I’m still sort of a Crossfit newbie but you haven’t been doing it that long either I don’t think? Two-a-days definitely sound like a fun yet hellish challenge, good luck!
