Kind of Addicted.

Morning coffee is possibly the best thing in the world. Slightly acidic, a little bit sweet, and just a tad creamy. When I’m at home (being both thrifty and health-conscious), I use stevia and coconut milk. My all-time favorite coffee maker? My Bialetti.

It’s pretty, and was designed during the Great Depression in Italy. It was made both because Italians love coffee (espresso me now), and because it is so inexpensive to produce. No fancy parts — just the base, piece for the grounds, and the top. The water boils in the bottom and comes up through the filter. How handy?!

Both Kristin and I are obsessed.

With that being said, I love caffeine. I’ve noticed that since eating more protein and fat, I need less (or rely on it a lot less). This is a good thing.

Breakfast: Eggs!

With sea salt and hot sauce. I could eat eggs all day. I kind of do.

How do you have your morning coffee? (or tea!)
Simple eat-it-everyday breakfast?

I LOVE coffee! Mine isn’t as healthy as yours….I use fat free Hazelnut creamer in mine. And I love eggs but don’t eat them often. My breakfast is usually oatmeal. :-)

Given your addiction to coffee you MUST study abroad in Italy if you have the chance! I spent last fall in Rome and it was hands down the best time of my life. Plus the coffee is incredible (and cheap!)

I love coffee AND simple breakfasts. Best way to start the day! As long as my breakfast has a good mix of protein, fiber, and healthy fat, I’m good to go.

Eggs are great, but I get tired of them at a certain point. (That happens with most breakfasts for me, actually. Well, it’s not so much that I get tired of any individual item as I start wanting others! I looove breakfast food.) Right now I’m happy with Rice ‘n’ Shine hot cereal each morning, though!

I’m not addicte to it, and actually hardly never make it at home because I’m bad and only love my coffee with copious amounts of flavored creamer and I don’t want to keep that stuff around my house. But if I’m on vacation and it’s free, I’ll def. have some. But my stomach doesn’t always like it, so I generally stick to tea with a little honey and sometimes vanilla almond milk.

I just cannot do coffee – it has never appealed to me!

I could do protein pancakes for breakfast everyday. I adore those things!

The first time I used a Bialetti was when I studied abroad in Italy and I had no idea how to use one. Let’s just say I was drinking espresso grounds that first morning! I eventually learned how simple it is to use. Now I have my own and I absolutely love it!

Definutely need the coffee with coconut milk or skim. With either of my two go favorites: almond slice and a banana or strawberries & blueberries. Going to try the hot sauce on eggs tomorrow!

I love coffee but I tried cutting it out last year to see if it would help me sleep better. It didn’t, but I still haven’t started drinking it again. I’ve been too lazy to brew a pot in the mornings… making tea is so much easier! :P

That first sip of coffee in the morning is the best! I make mine in my Keurig and add a splash of soy creamer or soy milk to give it a smoother texture and nuttier taste.

Yuck – I dislike the taste of coffee, and the overwhelming buzz it gives me.

I have matcha green tea every morning. I even have a little bamboo whisk from Japan that I use to froth up my tea. It’s green, thick, and earthy for a morning drink. Healthy, too!

Regular tea with unsweetened almond milk and stevia. Greek yogurt (plain) with frozen wild blueberries, cinnamon and a scoop of almond butter. Erryday.
